MARRIAGE
The family is a God ordained institution and the most important building block of human society. The concept of family originated with God at creation, and it was designed for the benefit of man. The family was constituted by marriage between a man and a woman as we see in Genesis 2:18. After God created Adam, He declared that it was not good for the man [Adam] to be alone so he made a helper suitable for him [Eve].” God then blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it” (Gen. 1:28 NIV). This union forms the basic unit through which the man and his wife were to carry out their God given responsibilities of reproducing and replenishing the earth.

Historically, there have been many family forms that were inconsistent with the model instituted at creation and even today globally the structure of this basic social unit continues to change and to be redefined to include other variations. However, we believe, and the scriptures supports that the traditional model of one man and one woman and their offspring forming the basic structure of the family has been God’s original plan for mankind.

The family has always been Important to God and his plan for humanity. When God created the family, He did it with a purpose in mind. He intends the family to form the framework through which God-like characters are developed and nurtured, God centered relationships and fellowship are supported and the principles of the gospel are taught and modeled. Our mission as a ministry is to share the good news of salvation within the context of the family setting, help to strengthen and build family resilience and promote healthy family life by supporting and affirming each member of the unit.
