This journey will guide you to not only understand the teachings of Jesus, but to authentically embody them in your daily life. It will enable you to share His boundless love and grace in a world that needs it most. United, we will explore the depths of His character, igniting a fervor for His kingdom and righteousness that goes beyond mere comprehension, as we strive to reflect the profound beauty of Christ in a society yearning for hope and renewal.
BECOMING AND BELONGING
We can become like Christ in character and in power, and thus realize our highest ideals of well-being and well-doing. On the road to changing lives for Christ lies an unseen door.
Within the halls of obedience lies an unseen door—an entrance to a richer life, a full heart as never before. It opens to a splendid garden filled with virtue and grace, where character is refined and abloom with deeds both pure and light. Be fully trained by His Spirit and ready for the fight. Yield all to Him. Be obedient to the Master’s call: “Come and follow Me.”
Leave behind your familiar room, comfortably at ease—where programs live and studies rule, and classes never cease. My Teacher knows the truth and leads us all to gain. The Master Teacher places on you the gospel, though not without pain. Give your soul in praise each and every week, and live content with the strength He promises, seeking not loss, but Him.
TRANSFORMING VISIONS
When God reached down in His mercy and gave you the free gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ, He not only forgave your sin—He adopted you into His family. He also gave you a charge to be involved in reaching others who do not know Him.
For many, this is a frightening challenge, giving rise to deep feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. But at the completion of His training of the twelve, Jesus gave them what has become known as the Great Commission. In just 50 words, He revealed His heart and highlighted His highest priority for reaching a lost world with the gospel:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Surely, this is the language of a Divine Being. What mere man ever conceived such a plan that would include the whole human race in its scope? Who, except One who possessed all power in heaven and on earth, could dare to hope for success in such a gigantic undertaking?
Yet He wants us—His children—to be part of the transformation process. He wants us to regard all His orders as wise and all His arrangements as good—to acknowledge His right to lead as He pleases. We must be content to serve Him in a little place or in a big one; by doing or by suffering; for a long period or a short one; in life or in death, if only He is glorified.
Our vision is premised on the promises of the great Monarch of our faith. Our aim and our trust are to include you in our march to transform lives for the great millennial reign of King Jesus. Begin your journey with us as you find your identity in Christ and become more like Him.
